NOA Frequently Asked Questions

Who can use the NOA Now Plan?

The NOA Now Plan is designed for women aged 18 and over based in England, Scotland and Wales. It is not currently suitable for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, within six months postpartum, undergoing cancer treatment, receiving treatment for an eating disorder or clinical depression, undergoing fertility-assisted treatment, diagnosed with kidney disease, or recovering from gastric band surgery. If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing.

What’s included in the NOA Now Plan?

Your plan includes a comprehensive blood test analysing 26 biomarkers across 8 health categories, a personalised wellness report, a 1:1 consultation with a qualified women’s health nutritionist, and tailored supplement and lifestyle recommendations. You also get ongoing support from the NOA team throughout your plan.

How is the blood test conducted?

You can choose to have your blood drawn at one of our partner clinics, or at home or work with a qualified mobile phlebotomist. We’ll help you find the most convenient option as part of your onboarding.

How do I book my test?

Once you’ve purchased here, you’ll receive an email from NOA to complete your onboarding. From there, we’ll guide you through booking your blood draw at a time and location that works for you.

When should I take my test?

If you have regular periods, we generally recommend testing around Day 3 of your cycle (Day 1 being the first day of full bleeding). If you’re on hormonal contraception or don’t have periods, you can test on any day.

How do I prepare for the blood test?

You do not need to fast for this test.

Please ensure you are well hydrated and warm before your appointment, as this can make the blood draw easier. Only take the test once any temporary illness has fully resolved, as infections can influence certain markers.

On the day of your test:

  • Attend before using or applying any medications where possible
  • Avoid vitamin or mineral supplements until after your blood draw
  • Check the ingredients of any supplements you take, biotin is found in many multi-nutrient and combination supplements, and should be avoided for at least 48 hours before your test
  • Avoid vitamin B12 supplements for at least 48 hours prior to testing
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your test

If biotin, vitamin B12, or any other supplement has been prescribed, please check with your doctor before stopping.

If you use HRT as a gel or spray, please skip your dose on the morning of your test and take it after your blood draw. If you use a patch, we recommend testing on day 2 of your current patch.

What happens after I purchase?

After checkout you’ll receive an email from NOA with a link to create your NOA account. You will then complete a short health questionnaire and book your blood draw. NOA manages everything including your consultation, results, and ongoing support. For questions about your order or supplements purchased here, the Face the Future team are happy to help.

When will I receive my results?

Your blood sample typically arrives at the labs 2–3 days after your blood draw. The NOA team will be in touch as soon as your sample has arrived, and your nutritionist consultation will be scheduled shortly after. We usually aim to send your consultation booking invitation within 5 working days of your sample arriving at the labs.

Where do I buy my recommended supplements?

Your personalised supplement recommendations will link directly to products available here at Face the Future, making it easy to get exactly what your results suggest.

How is my personal data managed?

Your purchase data is handled by Face the Future in accordance with their privacy policy. Your health information, including your blood test results, is collected and stored securely by NOA and is never shared with Face the Future. Both companies comply with UK GDPR.

Is there a cancellation policy for the blood test?

If you need to change the date, time or cancel your blood test you must adhere to the cancellation policies.

If you have selected the at home blood test, you must change your appointment within 48 hours of booking. If you move or cancel after 48 hours, you will be charged £63 to rebook.

If you have selected the in clinic blood test, there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you want to change the date, time or cancel, you must do this at least 24 hours before your appointment or you will be charged £37.
